Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced that the singing of “Vande Mataram” will soon be made compulsory in all schools and educational institutions across the state. The Chief Minister said this initiative aims to instill a deeper sense of patriotism, unity, and respect for Bharat Mata among students and citizens alike.
Addressing participants at the ‘Ekta Yatra’ (Unity March) held in Gorakhpur, Adityanath emphasized the importance of connecting the younger generation with India’s national symbols and cultural heritage.
“There should be a sense of respect and pride for our national song, Vande Mataram. Singing it will remind us of our shared identity and love for the motherland,” the Chief Minister said.
“We are taking steps to ensure that its recitation becomes a regular part of every educational institution in Uttar Pradesh,” he added.
