The Indus Zone Tech Desk | New Delhi, October 28, 2025 | Adani Green Energy Reports |
Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), India’s leading renewable power company and part of the Adani Group, has announced a 28% rise in its net profit to ₹644 crore for the quarter ending September 2025. The growth comes on the back of robust performance across its solar, wind, and hybrid energy projects.
In the same period last year, the company had reported a net profit of ₹515 crore. The steady profit growth highlights Adani Green Energy’s strong position in the renewable energy sector, amid India’s ongoing clean energy transition.
Revenue and Operational Growth
The company’s revenue from power supply climbed to ₹2,776 crore, up from ₹2,308 crore in the second quarter of the previous financial year.
However, total income slightly dipped to ₹3,249 crore, compared to ₹3,396 crore in Q2 FY25. Total expenses stood at ₹2,874 crore, almost flat against ₹2,857 crore a year earlier.
One of the standout achievements was the 39% increase in energy sales, which reached 19,569 million units from 14,128 million units last year. The jump reflects AGEL’s expanded operational capacity and efficient power generation across multiple renewable segments.
Adani Green Expands Renewable Capacity to 16.7 GW
According to AGEL, the company’s operational renewable energy capacity has grown by 49%, reaching 16.7 gigawatts (GW) as of September 30, 2025. This expansion keeps the company well on track to achieve its 50 GW renewable target in the coming years.
AGEL added 2,437 megawatts (MW) of greenfield capacity in the first half of FY26, which represents about 74% of the total capacity addition achieved in the entire FY25.
In the past year alone, Adani Green Energy added 5,496 MW of new renewable capacity — including 4,200 MW of solar, 491 MW of wind, and 805 MW of hybrid installations.
These projects span key renewable hubs like Khavda in Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Andhra Pradesh.
CEO Ashish Khanna on Innovation and Expansion
Commenting on the results, Ashish Khanna, CEO of Adani Green Energy, said the company is progressing rapidly on its flagship project — the 30 GW renewable energy plant at Khavda, Gujarat.
“We are consistently adopting innovative renewable technologies and digitalizing every part of our operations to boost efficiency, speed, and safety. With robust manpower and advanced systems like robotic solar installation, AGEL is setting new global benchmarks in renewable energy execution,” Khanna said.
The company added that it is strengthening its localized supply chain and workforce to ensure faster and more sustainable project development.
Khavda Project: India’s Renewable Energy Powerhouse
The Khavda Renewable Energy Park is one of the world’s largest green energy projects. Once completed, it will deliver 30 GW of clean power and make a significant contribution to India’s net-zero emissions goals.
The project demonstrates AGEL’s capability to build large-scale renewable solutions while maintaining environmental balance and community engagement.
